Milan's run of three league wins in a row came to an end at bottom side Cagliari, who hung on for a 0-0 draw and their first point of the season.
Inter 5.10 : Defender Nelson Rivas has been ruled out of action for at least two months due to a right knee injury. The Colombian centre-back was hurt during Inter's 2-1 Serie A home win over Bologna on Saturday. After being forced to leave the field on 73 minutes, 25-year-old Rivas underwent scans that revealed a rupture in the outer collateral ligaments of his right knee.
Juventus 3.10 : Defender Nicola Legrottaglie will be sidelined for around three weeks. The 31-year-old suffered a thigh injury in Juventus' 2-2 draw at BATE Borisov in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Legrottaglie has signed a one-year contract extension, committing himself to Juventus until 2011. He had a great 2007/08 season when he played 33 Serie A games, scoring twice and earning a call-up from Marcello Lippi to the Italian national team.
Inter 2.10 : Inter will be without defender Marco Materazzi for at least two weeks. The 35-year-old Italian international pulled a muscle in his right thigh during his team's 1-1 UEFA Champions League draw at home to Werder Bremen on Wednesday. Materazzi was already due to sit out Saturday's Serie A match against Bologna through suspension.
Sampdo. 30.9 : Sampdoria have lost midfielder Angelo Palombo for six weeks. The 27-year-old Italian international suffered a tear to his right thigh during last weekend's home goalless draw with Juventus. Palombo had started all 5 Serie A games this season. He will miss the return leg of the UEFA Cup first-round tie against Kaunas.

Milan 28.9 : Striker Marco Borriello will be out of action for around ten days with the left thigh injury. The 26-year-old, who was hurt against Reggina last week, will miss Thursday's UEFA Cup first round second leg at Swiss side Zurich. Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Pirlo, Filippo Inzaghi and Philippe Senderos are also absent through injury.
Napoli 25.9 : Goalkeeper Gennaro Iezzo will miss Sunday's trip to Bologna after breaking his nose. Tha Napoli No.1 suffered the fracture in a challenge with Palermo defender Moris Carrozzieri but played on as his team won the home game 2-1 to go fourth in Serie A. Iezzo will also miss the UEFA Cup first round second-leg tie against Benfica on October 2.
