Hertha Caretaker Coach Karsten Heine: We Have Nothing To Lose Against Sporting
Berlin outfit Hertha opted to give head coach Lucien Favre the sack on Monday due to the club's poor Bundesliga standing, but Karsten Heine, their caretaker boss, is confident they can shock Sporting in the Europa League.
"The players are extremely low on confidence at the moment. It's never easy for a player to deal with two consecutive heavy defeats," Heine told a press conference.
"We have a tough game coming up against Sporting, but we have nothing to lose at the moment.
"I am really surprised that thing went downward like this in the past couple of weeks. The team is pretty good, but we just need a win to boost the players' confidence.
"We know that we don't have too much time to turn things around, but I am confident that the lads have what it takes to return to winning ways. The players have already proven that they're good enough for the Bundesliga."
