Davide Ballardini: Levski Sofia Europa League Match Is Decisive For Lazio

Lazio coach Davide Ballardini is wary of the match against Levski Sofia on Thursday in the Europa League, claiming it will be a significant one for the Biancocelesti.

The Italians were shockingly defeated 2-1 on home ground by Red Bull Salzburg two weeks ago, committing two defensive errors in the last ten minutes to gift the match to the visitors.

Many would consider them favourites in Bulgaria, but the former Palermo boss will not take anything for granted.

"We are favourites? No, in European affairs when playing away from home, you are never favoured," he explained at a press conference, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

"After losing at home to Salzburg, the match in Sofia tomorrow is already decisive for us. From now on, we cannot afford any missteps."

Lazio have been inconsistent in the early part of the season, with eight points from six matches in Serie A.
