Lazio Striker Tommaso Rocchi: We Are In Sofia To Win

Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi is urging both caution and determination ahead of the Europa League clash against Levski Sofia later tonight.

The Aquilotti travel to Bulgaria hoping to make up for the loss they sustained in match day one, when they gifted Salzburg three points.

Rocchi is focussed on the game, despite the off the pitch distractions. The Italian is clearly trying to provoke a reaction, following a string of less than perfect results, hoping a good result tonight will be a springboard to greater things.

"I think the club is counting on us players and it's normal that, over the course of the season, there are injuries, and players missing," Rocchi told the assembled press.

"But we have to be ready for everything and that applied to everyone. We will go on the pitch to give our everything. Whatever happens in future then we will take it as it comes."

The Bianconcelesti are joint bottom of their Europa League group, along with tonight's opponents, and the captain has underlined the importance of a win.

"We will play at our maximum with the conviction that we can win. It's an important game and therefore we have to give everything," added the striker.

"We have the mental strength and this will always allow us to play at our best."
